Assoc Prof. Dato' Dr. H❜ng Paik San, PhD in Wood science and Technology
- Vast experience in higher institution as researcher and giving lecture on wood science and technology
- Currently holding the post of Head of Laboratory Biopolymer and Derivatives in Institute of Tropical Forests and Forest Products (INTROP)
- Supervises many PhD, Master and Bachelor thesis works
- His interest is in scientific engagement with accomplishment in scientific projects such as creating methods to develop technology of control of fungi and termites using biological methods, creation of new composites products
- A co-author of 40 publications in scientific journals such as: Bio-resource Technology, Int. Forest Rev, Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences etc.
- Currently chairs the Malaysia National Standard Body for ISO TC 218 and TC 287, which is responsible for the development of carbon neutral and CO2 storage monitoring standard.
- He is one of the technical experts represents Malaysia in ISO Technical Committee Meeting for development of the ISO standard on solid wood.
- Those scientific achievements have created the basis for establishing scientific cooperation with the numerous international universities
